Only one sample from the neck of a culture of streptococci can be diagnosed. As for the post-nasal discharge, you have a lot of drainage in the back of the throat? If so, a runny nose. If not, and the tonsils are red and swollen, has a sore throat.

There is no way of knowing. A doctor has to make this call, and it is unlikely that you will find a photo on the Internet. Generally it is best to begin with pain and then see if you can see, redness or sore throat, but the pain makes us always aware that something is wrong with our bodies. It's like the white blood cells help the immune system starts automatically and the body to produce more to fight against the infection, because it is alien to our bodies. A post-nasal discharge is not the same as an infection or take a nasal drip for a position happens. This could be an allergen of any kind I hope this makes some of the confusion. Good luck
